Hamernick, Rita Kay
Age 68, of Vadnais Heights MN. Joyously joined our Lord and Risen Savior Jesus Christ the morning of March 29 at home. Rita earned her RN from Anchor School of Nursing, 1974 and served her entire 40 year career at the hospital, which was named Anchor, then St. Paul Ramsey, Ramsey, and currently Regions. Rita battled RA and other medical issues for 15 years and always kept thriving with the support of her loving husband, Kevin of 46 years. Her children and grandchildren provided her greatest joy. Rita valued daily Bible time and prayer, and always bedtime prayers. Rita loved keeping a clean house, cooking, baking, sewing, a house full of thriving plants and flowers, gardening, yardwork, especially her riding mower and always being there for family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Richard and Katherine Lawrence; brother Rick; niece Jenne`; great nephew Colin. Also survived by her children Katie (Chris) Froula and Mike (Nicole); grandchildren Isabel, Maks, Shaylee, Raya, Isaac; sisters Veronica and Diane; brother Robert; also many loving relatives and friends; honorary son Gregg (Paula) Clemons, McKensie, Blake, Steven, Alexis, honorary dad Rich Millette, sponsored children, Akosua, Kwasi from Ghana-Rafiki Mission and Emiliano from Colombia-Unbound Mission. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 5th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 380 E. Little Canada Rd, Little Canada. Visitation at church 4:30 to 7:00 PM Monday and one hour prior to Mass Tuesday.
