Larry Green Obituary


Larry A. Green was born in St. Paul, MN on September
8, 1951, to the proud Parents of Lillie Mae And Cecil
Green. He passed this life unto another on Saturday
April 25, 2020 in Kansas City, MO.

Larry received Christ at an early age. He was a
passionate follower of Christ, who spent hours reading
and studying the scripture. To those who knew him
well, Larry often professed his love for God and his
people. He later Joined Camphor United Methodist
Church and would assist in maintaining the upkeep of
the church.

Larry was the second of five children. As a child he
attended St. Peter Claver and later attended Mechanic
Arts High School. He loved basketball and would tell
stories of how he was a “star player”.

As a young man Larry married Winnie Powers and to
this union, they had three children Cortez (Corky),
Larry Jr. and Lamont. He later enlisted in the United
States Marine Corp where he served his country. After
his duty Larry was a very hard worker. He loved
dressing to impress, listening to music, fishing and
shooting pool. Larry loved his Cadillac and would keep
it detailed clean!

He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-
grandfather, brother, uncle, and a friend to many.
Larry was proceeded in death by his Mother; Lillie Mae
Preston, Father; Cecil Green and Son; Larry A. Green
Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories his son; Lamont
Green, Sisters: Cecliyn Green of TX, Jocelyn Johnson
(Lennard), Kim Bennett and Pam Preston (Roosevelt)
of MN. His grandchildren; Shyenne, Lamont Jr., Holley,
Daeton, Makayla, Jenayla and Glen Larry. A devoted
friend for many years Delores Fuller and a host of
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends

 

THERE WILL ONLY BE 10 PEOPLE ALLOWED IN THE FUNERAL HOME AT ANY GIVEN TIME.  PLEASE RESPECT THE FAMILY AND MAKE YOUR VISIT SHORT IN ORDER THAT OTHERS MAY PAY THEIR RESPECTS.
